Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead safety programs across project sites in the Dayton area. This full-time traveling role ensures regulatory compliance, conducts orientations, and reviews procedures for a safe workplace on Advanced Technology projects.

You will analyze trends, track permits, mentor staff, and collaborate with project teams to integrate safe practices into construction schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience in construction or safety.
• Experience leading safety teams.
• Ability to train and mentor safety professionals.
• Skilled in identifying onsite safety risks and mitigation.
• Knowledge of construction site equipment and processes.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety program and procedures for project sites within the district.
• Analyze incidents and trends; track accidents, injuries, and other safety-related events.
• Develop and conduct safety orientations and trainings; lead toolbox talks.
• Ensure permits and certifications are active, documented and tracked.
• Provide equipment and training support to meet safety requirements.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and procurement for safety needs.
• Provide project status and trend analyses to management.
• Oversee injury reporting and implement corrective actions.
• Review DHA/JHA discussions and documentation for safety planning.
• Create and approve worksite safety/evacuation plans.
