Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Texas seeks a General Superintendent to lead complex project planning, manage teams, and ensure safety and quality across multiple sites. The role requires 100% travel to project locations and close collaboration with owners, design teams and subcontractors.

You will develop work plans, coordinate scheduling, monitor budgets, and drive Lean construction practices while maintaining JE Dunn's standards of safety, ethics, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Experience leading large-scale construction projects.
• Strong safety, QA/QC and coordination skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules.
• Experience with self-perform work and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and ensures injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages project site care and control.
• Leads daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Attends project reviews and manages cost reporting.
• Manages project schedule with Project Manager and tracks budget.
• Communicates project information to owners and design team.
• Supports staffing and procurement processes for field operations.
