Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Temple, TX seeks a General Superintendent to lead large-scale construction projects from planning through completion. You will manage teams, subcontractors, and materials, schedule work, and enforce safety, quality, and cost controls.

This role requires strong leadership, communication and lean construction expertise. The position emphasizes collaboration with owners, designers, and authorities, driving project performance and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years construction experience with supervision experience.
• Experience leading Lean principles on projects (preferred).
• Must have experience leading 100M+ Aviation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure injury-free environment.
• Manage subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate project site care and control; manage meetings.
• Create and manage project schedule with Project Manager.
• Track budget and costs using PM system reports.
• Communicate key project information to owners, design team, and vendors.
• Support project closeouts and pre-punch activities.
• Identify and recruit top talent and promote diversity.
