Job summary

IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services, seeking a Traveling General Superintendent. You will oversee large or complex projects, ensuring safety, quality and financial performance while managing staffing, materials, and customer delivery goals.

You will recruit and lead project teams, liaison with customer representatives, monitor profitability, and ensure timely project completion and accurate invoicing.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years’ supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Lead Communications Technician or similar position.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
• Must be proficient with a computer and be skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline and discharge project staff and mentor for goals.
• Act as senior liaison for operational interface with customer representatives.
• Plan for and monitor project profitability to achieve company goals.
• Ensure deadlines are met per customer requirements.
• Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job progress.
• Review job costs, prepare invoices and provide financial reporting to customer and management.
• Complete project paperwork accurately and on time, including timesheets and change orders.
• Perform quality checks and ensure safety, productivity and compliance with budget.
