Job summary

Toastique is seeking a Corporate Trainer to develop and oversee franchisee training in the DC area, with nationwide travel. The role starts in corporate stores as a Team Member for 60 days to gain in-store knowledge before transitioning to training and travel.

Travel will range 10-30% depending on openings, with responsibilities including leading new openings, coaching staff, and maintaining brand standards across locations.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of leadership/training experience (at least 2 in a restaurant environment).
• Open availability including weekends and some holidays.
• Open to travel 3-14 days at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Knowledge in Toast POS system preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Barista knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute the 4-week Franchisee Training Program on site in Washington, DC for Toastique franchisees.
• Support and guide franchisees on site for new Toastique location grand openings nationwide by coaching frontline teams and leading by example with customer service.
• Provide tools and support to Managers and Franchisees for training team members.
• Exercise leadership: influence others to maintain high standards and adapt leadership style as needed.
• Establish credibility through competence, continuity, integrity, and kindness.
• Become a Toastique brand ambassador; maintain knowledge of industry standards and regulations in restaurants.
• Display drive and urgency during each training session.
• Supervise training and leverage individual strengths for maximum potential.
• Measure and counsel on improving operational and individual performance.
• Foster open communication with management, team members & Franchisees.
• Observe, communicate and follow up on opportunities and achievements in restaurants with Director of Training.
• Support new restaurant openings with pre-opening and hands-on training activities.
• Support managers and Franchisees in developing managers and succession planning.
• Respond to requests, inquiries, emails, and others promptly.
• Flexible working hours required, including weekends.
• Able to travel out of state for Franchise support; travel=3-14 days per location visit.
