Job summary

Rentokil North America is seeking a Food Safety Specialist to support hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients by ensuring adherence to food safety standards and delivering customer-focused service. The role involves conducting audits, training staff, and implementing corrective actions to uphold brand expectations.

The position requires CP-FS or ServSafe certification and a valid driver’s license, with 50–70% travel and some evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments measuring conformity to regulatory, industry, and brand standards for clients
• Observe food prep and cooking standards to ensure food safety and sanitation
• Partner with clients to address root causes of discrepancies and develop corrective action plans
• Teach and coach clients to maintain a safe and healthy workplace
• Travel 50%-70%, including some evenings and weekends
• Conduct audits and inspections
• Implement and monitor food safety practices
• Train and educate staff
• Investigate food safety incidents
• Ensure compliance with regulations
• Maintain documentation and records
• Ability to influence others with tact and provide constructive feedback
• Work autonomously with a flexible schedule
