Job summary

Medcor is hiring a Full-Time Float Nurse to provide onsite staffing relief and training in client workplace clinics across multiple states. The role requires extensive travel, primarily within the Quad Cities, Waterloo, and Des Moines, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekend travel.

The Float Nurse will support clinic operations, assist with new site setup and staff training, and maintain high patient satisfaction while adhering to Medcor protocols and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN/LVN/LPN license (multi-state)
• Current CPR/BLS certifications
• At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience
• Experience with workers' compensation and occupational health
• Strong computer and EMR skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat illnesses/injuries per Medcor protocols
• Provide services to employees including injury evaluation and surveillance testing
• Participate in wellness programs and assist with pre-employment drug screens
• Discuss patient care with physicians and other care-givers as appropriate
• Document care in the EMR per Medcor standards
• Maintain exceptional customer service and attendance
