Job summary

Medcor is hiring a Full-Time Float Nurse to provide onsite staffing relief and training across client workplaces in multiple states. The role requires extensive travel, primarily in the Quad Cities, Waterloo, and Des Moines areas, with a Monday–Friday schedule and some weekend travel. RN/LPN/LVN licensure and CPR/BLS are required.

You will support multiple clinics, assist with new site set-ups, and contribute to high patient satisfaction while following Medcor protocols and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid unrestricted multi-state RN/LPN/LVN licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience.
• Experience with workers compensation and occupational health.
• Strong computer/tech skills and familiarity with EMR systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lb equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, outgoing team player attitude.
• Willingness to go above and beyond for superior service.
• Plus: COHN, DOT/BAT/CAOHC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat illnesses/injuries per Medcor protocols while advocating for patient/employee and employer.
• Provide services including work-related injury evaluation, surveillance testing, preventive care and immunizations.
• Participate in wellness programs and assist with pre-employment screenings.
• Support clinic setup, training, and coverage across multiple sites.
• Document care in EMR and adhere to HIPAA and Medcor standards.
• Coordinate with supervising physicians and care teams.
