Job summary

Medcor is looking to hire a Full-Time Float Nurse to provide onsite staffing relief and training in client workplace clinics across multiple states. The Float Nurse delivers care per Medcor protocols, with travel focused in the Quad Cities, Waterloo, and Des Moines, and a Monday–Friday schedule with some weekend travel.

Candidates must hold unencumbered RN licensure in IL, IA, and WI, CPR/BLS, and at least three years of clinical experience in workers’ compensation or occupational health.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN/LPN/LVN license across states
• CPR/BLS certification current
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience
• Experience with workers' compensation and occupational health environments
• Strong computer skills and EMR familiarity
• Ability to lift 50 lb or more
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork and customer service

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and treatment following Medcor protocols
• Deliver services such as work-related injury care, surveillance testing, preventive programs and immunizations
• Support wellness program participation and employee health initiatives
• Assist with pre-employment screenings and employee drug screens
• Discuss patient care with supervising physicians and other care teams as appropriate
• Ensure documentation in electronic medical records per Medcor standards
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information
• Assist with clinic set-ups, training, and other duties as assigned
