Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to join our traveling team. The position requires diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel and gas-powered equipment across job sites in the Northeast, with extended overnight travel and stays away from home.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Class A CDL, pass pre-employment screenings, and work independently in a fast-paced field environment while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Formación

• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel and gas engines and associated systems.

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostic tests on diesel and gas engines to identify mechanical problems.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services.
• Repair and replace engine components such as fuel, exhaust, intake, and electrical systems.
• Inspect and maintain hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions, and cooling systems.
• Utilize computerized diagnostic tools for accurate troubleshooting and repair tracking.
• Document maintenance and repairs in the Fleet Management Information System.
• Conduct post-repair road tests to ensure operational safety and compliance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery.
• Travel to job sites for on-site repairs and emergency maintenance support.
• Monitor inventory and assist in ordering parts and materials.
• Collaborate with the Fleet Supervisor to manage priorities and ensure timely vehicle readiness.
