Job summary

Cable Services Company in Andover, MN is seeking a full-time Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel and gas vehicles. The role requires travel to job sites and vendor locations, plus a valid CDL.

You should be safety-conscious, mechanically skilled, and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting. Essential duties include diagnostics, preventive maintenance, on-site repairs, and coordination with the Fleet Supervisor to prioritize work and ensure vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a motor vehicle and criminal background check.
• Must complete and pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests on diesel and gas engines to identify mechanical problems.
• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
• Repair and replace engine components such as fuel, exhaust, intake, and electrical systems.
• Inspect hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions, and cooling systems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and repair tracking.
• Document maintenance in the Fleet Management Information System and perform road tests.
