Job summary

Resource Transport LLC is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair tractors and trailers, ensuring safe, reliable operation. The role covers diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and accurate logging of service in Fleetio, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has diesel mechanic experience with heavy-duty vehicles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work flexibly including evenings and weekends. CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other components.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to prevent issues.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs in CMMS and parts usage.
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations including DOT and EPA requirements.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and order parts as needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to share knowledge and best practices.
