Clean Harbors in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Traveling Field Services Technician to join our safety-conscious team. This role involves active fieldwork responsible for hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials.

- Requires about 50% travel within the US for Emergency Response projects. All travel expenses are paid, and per diem is provided.

Responsibilities:
- Prioritize health and safety by following policies and acting safely.
- Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
- Operate equipment and tools, including handling vibration-producing tools.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly, including respirators and protective gear.
- Work in various weather conditions and environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Assist in field sampling and calibration activities.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and into/out of containers and trucks.
- Work extended hours as needed, including on-call emergency response.
- Inspect drums and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Safely operate vehicles according to DOT and other requirements.
- Observe all company safety and environmental guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as outlined.
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.
- Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical exam as required.
- Compliance with OSHA's facial hair standards for respirator use.
