Overview

This is a remote, traveling position for highly motivated Pharmacy Technicians who excel in collaboration and leadership, working with pharmacy staff, directors, and operational teams to ensure pharmacy success. The role requires comprehensive understanding of pharmacy technician functions, leadership, strategic planning, and project management. Candidates should reside west of the Mississippi, near an airport, and be adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Licenses: PTCB and/or state licensure.

Responsibilities

On-Site Collaboration

• Implement workflow and productivity measures with pharmacy staff
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Monitor inventory and supply management
• Implement policies for drug procurement, storage, and disposal

Technician Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions, package medications, and prepare various medication forms
• Work with controlled substances and automated machines
• Assist in inventory management and data entry
• Maintain a sterile environment for IV medications

Project Management

• Estimate and plan work with team members
• Monitor and report on problem resolution
• Participate in policy and outcome strategy planning

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years LTC technician and leadership experience; 10 years preferred
• Multistate licensure/registration and national certification required; additional licensure preferred
• 75%+ travel required
