Clean Harbors in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Traveling Field Services Technician to join our safety-conscious team. This role involves active fieldwork responsible for hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials.

Position Details:

• Requires about 50% travel within the US for Emergency Response projects. All travel expenses are paid, and per diem is provided.
• Hours and schedule vary based on emergency response needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Prioritize health and safety by following policies and acting safely.
2. Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
3. Operate equipment and tools, including handling vibration-producing tools.
4. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly, including respirators and protective gear.
5. Work in various weather conditions and environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
6. Assist in field sampling and calibration activities.
7. Climb ladders, scaffolding, and into/out of containers and trucks.
8. Work extended hours as needed, including on-call emergency response.
9. Inspect drums and ensure regulatory compliance.
10. Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.
11. Follow all local, state, and federal regulations.
12. Safely operate vehicles according to DOT and other requirements.
13. Observe all company safety and environmental guidelines.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as outlined.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.
• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical exam as required.
• Compliance with OSHA's facial hair standards for respirator use.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous relevant labor or field experience.
