Job summary

Power Solutions International is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, inspect, and service our power generation equipment at customer sites across the country. You will travel roughly 75% of the time, often out of state, servicing clients and supporting commissioning, testing, and warranty activation.

You will diagnose issues using electrical testing tools, document activities, and train customer personnel on operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Field Service Technician experience preferred.
• Subject matter expert in operation, repair, and installation of switchgear and related power-generation systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and start equipment at customer sites per specs and drawings.
• Service all company products at customer sites including testing and troubleshooting.
• Provide remote or on-site support via phone, email, or in person.
• Coordinate with Quality and Engineering to resolve product issues.
• Conduct training sessions on operation and maintenance when required.
• Complete daily expense reports and project documentation.
• Evaluate site erection to activate warranties.
• Stay current with industry developments through company training.
