Powergen Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and commissioning power generation and distribution control systems across the country, with up to 80% travel and home most weekends.

This is not an entry level job; we require at least 2 years of industry experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced math knowledge. You will work independently and with a collaborative team to ensure safety, quality, and timely

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years field service experience in power generation or related industries.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced math concepts.
• Willing to travel up to 80% across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and control systems.
• Wire industrial control panels, switchboards, and MCCs.
• Perform field commissioning and startup activities.
• Connect to PLCs and HMIs for downloading, uploading, and remote troubleshooting.
• Document site activities: weekly timesheets, Field Service Reports, project update emails.
• Update client drawings in AutoCAD (one-lines, schematics, diagrams).
• Communicate clearly with project managers, clients, and team members.
• Adhere to all safety standards and stay current with training.
