Job summary

Western States Equipment Co. is seeking a field technician responsible for contracted routine services on Power Systems products, including generator packages and industrial engines, under supervision. The role emphasizes safety, accurate reporting, and collaboration with senior technicians.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with load bank testing, and ensure documentation accuracy while upholding customer care standards. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years experience with troubleshooting and maintenance for Power Systems.
• Must own required tools and meet DOT requirements.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs routine maintenance on generator packages and electric power generation system components.
• Assists senior technicians with load bank testing and cable termination.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assists EPG Field technicians as required.
• Prepares service reports documenting activities and issues.
• Maintains required documentation including work orders, parts lists and time cards.
• Adheres to customer requirements and safety policies.
