Job summary

Aventiv is seeking an on-site field service technician to repair, install and maintain telecom and networking equipment across Georgia, including correctional facilities. The role includes travel between Athens, GA and surrounding areas with a $500 monthly stipend and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities include supporting tablets, kiosks, phones and WAPs, performing site surveys, and training customers. Strong troubleshooting, multitasking, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of installation, repair and maintenance of telecom and networking devices.
• Experience with Windows OS, VOIP, Adtran Fortinet, AOS, Cisco IOS and wireless tech.
• Telephony experience - pulling cable and terminations, wiring troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of network cabling standards (cat3/5/6).

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, programs and installs telecommunications hardware and networking equipment per specs.
• Repairs/installs phones, kiosks, video terminals, WAPs, tablets within facilities.
• Provides site surveys and supports pre-bid meetings or sales conferences.
• Communicates with dispatchers to receive work assignments and ETA.
• Educates and trains Securus customers and assists with reporting.
