Job summary

Aventiv is seeking a field service technician to repair and install telecom and network gear across GA, including Athens and surrounding areas. You will travel to customer sites, perform installations, troubleshoot issues, and support tablet programs, with inventory management responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in telecom and networking, experience with Windows OS, VOIP, and cabling, and strong customer communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of installation, repair and maintenance of telecom and networking devices.
• Experience with Windows OS, VOIP, Adtran Fortinet, AOS, Cisco IOS and wireless tech.
• Telephony experience including pulling cable, terminations up to 100 pair, T1/CO dial tone problems.
• Knowledge of network cabling standards (Cat3/5/6).

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, program and install telecom hardware and networking equipment in correctional facilities.
• Install phones, kiosks, video terminals, tablets and related equipment within facilities.
• Provide site surveys, pre-bid meetings and/or sales conference support.
• Coordinate with dispatchers for work assignments and ETA.
