Job summary

Mainspring Energy is seeking motivated field service technicians to service our fuel-flexible generators at customer sites across a defined region. You will train at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, and travel to assigned sites to ensure uptime, performance, and reliability of deployed units.

The role emphasizes mechanical repair, collaboration with engineers, and weekend/on-call availability when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks).
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and wear PPE.
• Must follow written and verbal on-site instructions.
• Valid Driver’s license; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically repair and perform maintenance on generator components and assemblies according to procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components.
• Conduct mechanical inspections and document condition information for debugging or troubleshooting.
• Be available for rotational on-call shifts to support customers.
