Job summary

Mainspring Energy is seeking a mechanically oriented Field Service Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance on our generators. You will travel to customer sites within your region, conduct inspections, perform repairs, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues and improve reliability.

You will train at our Menlo Park headquarters and join a team focused on uptime, safety, and customer success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical assembly/repair experience.
• Experience with automotive, aviation, or heavy equipment assembly is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear PPE.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and documenting repairs.
• Strong teamwork and safety-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver's license; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical repair and maintenance on generator components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components.
• Conduct mechanical inspections and document condition information for debugging.
• Be available for on-call shifts to support customers.
