Job summary

Mainspring Energy is hiring a Field Service Technician to perform planned and reactive service on our generators. You will train at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, and be assigned to a regional service area requiring travel. The role focuses on uptime, availability, and performance for deployed units on customer sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks).
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE.
• Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically repair and maintain generators per procedures and checklists.
• Collaborate with engineers to fix and redesign components.
• Conduct mechanical inspections and document condition information.
• Work rotational on-call shifts to support customers.
