Siemens in Indiana is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of medium- and high-voltage power distribution equipment in diverse industrial environments. This role is travel-intensive and focused on hands-on field execution nationwide across the United States.

You will work with protective relays (SEL, GE Multilin, Siemens SIPROTEC), use Omicron and Doble test sets, analyze results, and document field reports.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in field-based commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution systems.
• Protection and control relays (SEL, GE Multilin, Siemens SIPROTEC) and associated configuration software.
• Relay testing equipment such as Omicron and/or Doble test sets.
• Low- and medium-voltage switchgear, breakers, and electrical control circuits.
• Interpreting test data, assessing equipment condition, and producing clear technical documentation.

Responsabilités

• Installing, testing, commissioning, and starting up LV–MV power distribution equipment (≈480V–38kV) including switchgear and breakers.
• Performing hands-on commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of protection and control relays.
• Using test equipment and software to validate system performance.
• Supporting greenfield and brownfield projects through commissioning, maintenance, and emergency response.
• Analyzing test results and documenting findings in field reports.
• Collaborating with customers, partners, and internal teams to provide technical support and training.
• Traveling extensively to job sites across the U.S. for field execution.
