Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Charlotte, NC to install, start-up, and support complex distributed control systems at customer sites. The role requires up to 75% travel, including overnight trips, with a hybrid work option when not traveling.

You will work with customer personnel, perform maintenance, and provide engineering advisory support. A bachelor's in engineering or similar, and 2+ years of relevant experience are required, along with the ability to work legally in

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar technical field is required.
Minimum 2 years of related experience engaging with customers for installation of control systems and network equipment.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site instruction of customer personnel; write/modify maintenance procedures; conduct quality tests and evaluations.
Direct efforts of customer personnel during installation and maintenance of control systems and equipment.
Provide engineering advisory support to customers and internal teams on equipment-related matters.
Create complete and timely reports detailing activities and problems encountered.
