Job summary

Emerson Power & Water Solutions in Charlotte, NC seeks a Field Engineer to join a team of customer support engineers. You will analyze and solve engineering problems related to installation, start-up, and operation of distributed control systems at customer sites.

The role involves on-site instruction, advising on installations, and creating detailed reports while traveling up to 75% of the time. A technical degree and PLC/DCS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a similar technical educational curriculum.
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
  • Preferred: Experience programming with PLC and/or DCS software.
