Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across assigned stores within a geographic area. You will respond in person to maintenance tickets, perform preventative maintenance, and educate store leaders on best practices to extend equipment life.

Travel to sites within your district is expected daily; you will document asset information in CMMS, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with store leadership and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to support entry level repairs.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels including senior executives and external partners.
• Unbridled commitment to customer service.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs+

Responsibilities

• Travel to the sites where maintenance concerns have been reported by store leadership.
• Troubleshoot and verify asset information for on-site service projects within the assigned operating district.
• Support entry level maintenance, including light exterior grounds work and safety equipment assessments.
• Document and resolve tickets within designated time frames.
• Provide training to root cause issues when necessary.
• Occasional after-hours work may be required based on urgency.
