Job summary

Manson Construction is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to support our Project Management Team across the Southeast. The role involves on-site engineering, surveying, quality control, and construction management support, with extensive travel to Gulf/East region projects.

Dredging/marine construction experience is preferred. The work location includes the Gulf Coast region with main office in Jacksonville, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or Construction Management from a four-year college or university is required.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• FE exam and current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
• Marine Construction or Dredging Industry experience preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software - HCSS & Primavera, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hydrographic and Beach/Land surveying for construction management purposes.
• Technical support for equipment computer systems.
• Development of project work element plans and JSAs.
• Coordinate project definable features of work with Manson superintendents, foremen, craft workers, and subcontractors.
• Critical path scheduling and 3 week look ahead scheduling.
• Review designs, drawings, and engineering data for conformance with project plans and specifications.
• Investigation and research for needed permanent and consumable material items, equipment, and tools.
• Inspection of newly delivered permanent materials for conformance with project requirements.
