Job summary

Komatsu US dealer network is seeking a National Field Service Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on mining equipment across the nation. The role requires travel up to six weeks at a time, with one week off, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

You will diagnose complex electrical problems, perform preventive maintenance, and document work accurately while prioritizing safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman trade or technical certification in electrical systems, welding, or mechanical preferred.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel extensively.
• 5 years' mining experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with VFDs, MCC, and high voltage is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs in the field.
• Install and configure electrical components on mining equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to improve reliability and performance.
• Document service work and report status accurately and timely.
• Provide excellent customer service and build client relationships.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex issues.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
