Job summary

PerimeterSecurity Partners is seeking a Traveling Field Electrician to install and service ACP/equipment across the United States. The role covers new installations and repair work at commercial, government, and military sites, including vehicle barriers and CCTV systems.

Strong electrical/mechanical experience and the ability to travel 85%+ are required. Responsibilities include testing, coordinating with project teams, producing documentation, and maintaining safety and quality on all sites.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Technician or Electrician on industrial systems, motors and drives.
• Ability to read schematics and single-line drawings.
• Familiarity with high voltage circuits up to 480VAC and low voltage controls (12-24VDC).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Desired: electrical certification/licensing.
• Desired: heavy equipment operator (forklift, lull, manlift).

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test distribution panels, disconnects, conduit, wire, and ACP equipment.
• Install, assess, troubleshoot, and repair ACP equipment and CCTV systems.
• Coordinate with site personnel to safely conduct installations and service actions.
• Execute repairs on ACP equipment using checklists, drawings, and manufacturer guidance.
• Provide daily reports on equipment condition and services performed.
• Develop material/equipment lists and labor estimates for new installations and deficiencies.
• Draft and organize electronic documentation after each visit, including receipts and signatures.
• Operate safely and coordinate maintenance of a service vehicle.

PerimeterSecurityPartnersislookingforamotivatedTravelingFieldElectricianwithstrongelectricalandmechanicalexperiencetoinstalldistributionpanels,disconnects,conduit,andwire,toterminateelectricalandsignalwire,andtotestsystemsfornewinstallationsataccesscontrolpoints(ACPs)andassociatedequipmentthroughouttheUnitedStates.Whiletheprimarypurposeofthisroleisnewinstallations(construction),thepositionalsosupportsrepairactivitiesonexistingaccesscontrolpoint(ACP)equipmentthroughouttheUnitedStates.

TheTravelingFieldElectricianwillprovideelectricalsupportfortheinstallationandrepairofACPequipment,toincludevehiclebarriersandassociatedsafetysystems,site-builtandpre-fabricatedguardbooths,andclosed-circuittelevision(CCTV)systemsportablemessageboardsandgeneratorslightcarts,andrelatedequipmentatcommercial,governmentandmilitarysites.Theidealcandidatewillhaveexperiencewithelectricalsystems,lowvoltagecontrols,variablefrequencydrives,electro-mechanicaldrivesystems,andhydraulicdrivesystems,especiallythoserelatedtovehiclebarriersandACPequipment.

Duties:

• TheFieldElectricianmustbeabletoworkindependentlywithlittlesupervision,andtobeapositiverepresentativeforPerimeterSecurityPartnerswithClients.

• Install,terminate,andtestdistributionpanels,disconnects,conduit,wire,andotherequipmentforACPsystems.

• Install,assess,troubleshoot,andrepairACPequipmentandCCTVsystems.

• CoordinatecloselywithSiteSuperintendent,ProjectManagers,Clientrepresentativesandotherpersonneltosafelyconductinstallations,maintenanceandserviceactionswhileminimizingoperationalimpacts.

• InstallandexecuterepairsonACPequipmentusingchecklists,drawingsandspecifications,manufacturer’sguidance,andtechnicalexpertise.

• Providedailyreportsonequipmentcondition,servicesperformed,andadditionalworkneeded.

• Developmaterial/equipmentlistsandlaborestimatesfornewinstallationsandtocorrectdeficiencies.

• Draftandorganizeelectronicdocumentationfollowingeachinstallationorrepairvisit,includingcompilingreceipts,reviewingcompletedchecklists,obtainingClientapprovalsignature(s),composingtechnicianreports,andotherclose-outdocuments.
• Operateinasafemannerandcoordinatemaintenanceofaservicevehicle.
