Job summary

PerimeterSecurityPartners is seeking a motivated Installation Specialist to install and repair security fencing, gates, vehicle barriers, and related equipment nationwide. The role involves outdoor work, heavy lifting, and operating power equipment in support of government and commercial clients.

You will work under a Superintendent, gaining proficiency to work independently on assigned tasks, and may travel extensively across the United States for projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as a construction tradesperson.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must pass a background check and drug test for access to controlled areas.
• Experience operating powered equipment.
• Experience installing fencing, gates, and barriers preferred.
• Ability to place and finish reinforced concrete.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe operation of powered equipment (skidsteer, forklift, trencher, concrete saw, mini-excavator).
• Install & finish fencing, gates, barriers, and related security infrastructure.
• Demolish existing equipment and prepare subgrade for new installations.
• Set conduit pathways and stub-up pathways in foundations.
• Set and remove traffic and erosion control devices; manage temporary fencing.
• Use hand tools to complete construction tasks under supervision.
• Collaborate with other Installation Specialists to meet plans.
• Safely drive company vehicles and maintain them per policy.
• Accurately report expenses and timesheets promptly.

PerimeterSecurityPartnersislookingforamotivatedInstallationSpecialistwiththeconstructionskillsnecessarytoinstallandrepairsecurityfencing,activevehiclebarriers,personnelgates,securitybollards,andpassivevehiclebarrierequipmentthroughouttheUnitedStates.Workisperformedoutdoorsinsupportofgovernmental,military,industrial,andcommercialclients.Thisrolemayalsoassistothercrewmemberswiththeinstallationandrepairofalltypesofaccesscontrolpoint(ACP)equipmentthroughouttheUnitedStates.

TheInstallationSpecialistwillperformawidevarietyofconstructiontasks,demonstratingtheabilitytooperatepoweredequipment;form,place,andfinishconcrete;bendandtierebarforconcretefoundations;installsecurityfencingandgates;installandassembleautomatedandstaticvehiclebarriers;demolishexistingequipment;excavateandpreparesubgradefornewequipmentinstallation;andperformothersimilartaskswithinasmallteam.TheInstallationSpecialistwillworkunderthedirectionofaSuperintendentandwillbeexpectedtobuildproficiencyinallassignedtaskswiththegoalofperformingthemindependently.

Duties:

• Demonstrate competence in the safe and effective operation of a variety of powered equipment to include a skidsteer; shooting boom forklift; trencher; concrete saw; and mini-excavator with the demonstrated ability to safely operate around utilities and other obstacles. Obtain certification in the operation of this equipment.
• Demonstrate competence saw cutting and demolishing existing concrete and/or asphalt paving; earth excavation; setting and bracing barrier and/or fence equipment; placing and finishing concrete; and assembling gates, fences, and barriers.
• Move discharge chutes and use shovels and rake to evenly distribute concrete into forms under the direction of experienced concrete finishers.
• Set conduit pathways and stub-up pathways with in foundation forms.
• Set and remove traffic control devices, erosion control devices, and temporary fence as required.
• Execute construction tasks with a variety of common hand tools, to include shovels, picks, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills, and prybars.
• Work cooperatively with other Installation Specialists when accomplishing the daily work plan.
• Safely drive company vehicles, strictly adhering to traffic laws and keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and company policy.
• Adhere to all published company, client, and project safety standards, to include the use of proper personal protective equipment necessary for each task.
• Accurate reporting of all credit card expenses and timesheets in a timely manner.

• Must have experience in operating powered equipment.
• Experience installing a variety of physical security equipment, fencing, and/or gates is preferred.
• Experience placing and finishing reinforced concrete is required.
• Must have the ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification.

PhysicalRequirements:

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds to waist level.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and have full use of hands, fingers, and arms.
• Must be able to work outdoors for up to 60 hours/week in a variety of weather conditions

AdditionalInformation:

• 85% or more travel, typically for three (3) to four (4) weeks at a time project sites across the United States.
• Employees are given a company credit card for approved expenses (e.g.hotel, fuel, tools, and materials). A fixed per diem to offset meals and expenses is also provided.
• Hands-on and other training opportunities are available to augment skills and increase proficiency with a wide variety of physical security infrastructure equipment.
