Job summary

PerimeterSecurityPartners is seeking a motivated Traveling Field Technician with strong electrical and mechanical experience to maintain and repair ACPs, Active Vehicle Barriers and CCTV systems across the United States. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hydraulic and electro-mechanical drives, PLCs and low/high voltage systems to minimize downtime and provide quality technical support.

The role reports to the Field Service Supervisor and requires weekly travel nationwide, with per diem

Qualifications

• Field service experience on industrial systems and equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and single-line drawings.
• Familiarity with high voltage circuits up to 480VAC and low voltage controls (12-24VDC).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Desirable: electrical certification/licensing and heavy equipment operator skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on ACPs, Active Vehicle Barriers and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electromechanical drives, PLCs and related components.
• Prepare daily reports on condition, service performed and next steps.
• Coordinate with security personnel to minimize operational impact while servicing sites.
• Organize documentation, receipts and close-out reports after each visit.

PerimeterSecurityPartnersislookingforamotivatedTRAVELINGFieldTechnicianwithstrongelectricalandmechanicalexperiencetomaintainandrepairaccesscontrolpoints(ACPs),ActiveVehicleBarriersandassociatedequipmentthroughouttheUnitedStates.TheFieldTechnicianwillconductpreventativeandcorrectivemaintenanceonvehiclebarriersandsafetysystems,portablemessageboardsandgeneratorslightcarts,andclosed-circuittelevision(CCTV)systemsatindustrial,commercial,governmentandmilitarysites.Theidealcandidatewillhaveexperiencewithhydraulicdrivesystems,electro-mechanicaldrivesystems,variablefrequencydrives,lowvoltagecontrols,programminglogiccontrols(PLC),andelectricalsystems,especiallythoserelatedtovehiclebarriersandACPequipment.PerimeterSecurityPartnershasarobustmaintenanceandserviceteamwithseasonedleadtechniciansavailablefortroubleshootingandsupport,withthegoalofminimizingclientsystemdowntimebyprovidingqualitytechnicalsupportandcustomerserviceinatimelymanner.TheFieldTechnicianwillreporttotheFieldServiceSupervisor.

Duties:

• TheFieldTechnicianmustbeabletoworkindependentlywithlittlesupervision,andtobeapositiverepresentativeforPerimeterSecurityPartnerswithclients.
• Assess,maintain,troubleshoot,andrepairACP&ActiveVehicleBarrierequipmentandCCTVsystems.
• Identifyingandresolvingissueswithinhydraulicsystemsandcomponents(pumps,valves,cylinders,etc.)
• Conductpreventativeandcorrectivemaintenanceonequipmentusingchecklists,manufacturer’sguidance,andtechnicalexpertise.
• Providedailyreportsonequipmentcondition,servicesperformed,andadditionalworkneeded.
• Developmaterial/equipmentlistsandlaborestimatestocorrectdeficiencies.
• Performrepairs,includingreplacingwornordamagedparts,andconductingroutinemaintenancetaskssuchaslubrication,fluidchecks,andfilterchanges.
• CoordinatecloselywithClientsecurityandotherpersonneltosafelyconductmaintenanceandserviceactionswhileminimizingoperationalimpacts.
• Draftandorganizeelectronicdocumentationfollowingeachrepairorpreventivemaintenancevisit,includingcompilingreceipts,reviewingcompletedchecklists,obtainingClientapprovalsignature(s),composingtechnicianreports,andotherclose-outdocuments.
• Operateinasafemannerandcoordinatemaintenanceofaservicevehicle.
