Job summary

Orange EV, a leading electric truck manufacturer, seeks a Traveling Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and optimize vehicles in the field. You will analyze Remote Monitoring System data, perform repairs, and deliver training to customers and field personnel.

You will travel to support markets, coordinate with site managers and third-party providers, and contribute to service strategy from production to deployment, focusing on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the automotive or electrical industries.
• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
• MS Office Suite experience (Excel, Word, TEAMS).
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior customer service.
• Analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Must be available for regular unplanned travel.
• Ability to travel by plane, vehicle, or other means with tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand the complete vehicle at a systemic/component level to diagnose and repair.
• Represent Orange EV in a professional manner.
• Utilize Remote Monitoring System to plan service and prioritize needs.
• Record all service activity in the service record-keeping system.
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers to escalate issues.
• Coordinate with site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure logistics.
• Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and prepare reports.
• Support customer technicians and third-party providers with repairs.
• Deliver Operator and Maintenance training and assist sales efforts.
• Travel to support markets for PTO coverage and large repairs.
• When not traveling, assist the service team at production facility with recalls and reconditioning.
