Job summary

Orange EV is seeking a Traveling Electric Vehicle Field Service Tech to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and optimization for our electric fleet.

The role involves extensive travel, collaborating with customers and third-party providers, and supporting sales and service efforts. Requires a technical background, willingness to travel, and the ability to lift heavy equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in automotive or electrical industries.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, TEAMS).
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Understand the vehicle system to diagnose and repair effectively.
• Represent Orange EV professionally to customers.
• Use Remote Monitoring System to plan service and prioritize needs.
• Record all service activity in the service system.
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers for diagnosis and escalation.
• Coordinate logistics with site manager and electricians for charging infrastructure.
• Prepare reports on vehicle condition and workload.
• Support technicians and third-party providers with ancillary repairs.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training alongside sales support.
• Travel to markets for coverage and high-priority repairs.
• When not traveling, assist at production facility with repairs and recalls.
