Job summary

Top Tempo Technical is seeking a Traveling Diesel/EV Mechanic in Indianapolis, IN to support electrified transit solutions. The role focuses on field electrical expertise for high voltage buses, trains and related vehicles, requiring hands-on repair, installation, and diagnostic work.

The candidate should have 2+ years in electrical/HVAC, be comfortable with 12V/24V and 600V systems, and be able to travel up to 75% of the time, with strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC or related field.
Able to travel up to 75% of the time (2–3 weeks at a time).
Thorough knowledge of 12V/24V, 600V and air conditioning systems.
Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of multi-plex systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electronic and electrical (some mechanical) issues in high voltage transit buses.
Install electrical systems and components in transit vehicles.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment.
Inspect electrical components and troubleshoot with testing devices (ammeters, voltmeters, multimeters).
