Job summary
Top Tempo Technical is seeking a Field Service Technician specialized in Electric Bus and High Voltage Electrical systems to support a leading international transit manufacturer. The role involves troubleshooting high-voltage electronics, installing electrical systems on transit buses, reading blueprints and schematics, and repairing wiring, relays and motors in the field.
Extensive travel is required; valid driver’s license is needed; prior E-bus experience, PLC and hydrogen training are
Qualifications
- E-bus experience is required.
- 2+ years in electrical, HVAC, or related technical fields.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting, wiring, testing, and repair.
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of multiplex systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, process sheets, schematics, and instructions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- PLC and ladder logic experience preferred.
- High-voltage experience and hydrogen training or certification preferred.
- Extensive travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot high-voltage issues on electric buses.
- Install electrical systems and components on transit vehicles.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment.
- Repair or replace wiring, relays, motors, and lighting.
- Identify electrical problems using testing equipment.
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers.
