Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced Project Engineer I in our Energy Storage group with the ability to interact with staff at all levels. The role focuses on reviewing, analyzing, and resolving field coordination issues while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

This is a full-time traveler role based in CA, TX, AZ, OK, NM, UT, OH, or CO. Final location will depend on candidate preference and business needs, with a competitive base pay and incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field is required.
• 2+ years related construction experience or internship preferred.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans and details for subcontractors and craft workers.
• Implement the pre-construction quality plan.
• Obtain and maintain construction permits; manage expenses.
• Develop and maintain project logs and inspection lists.
• Manage, create, and distribute contract documents.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Mentor field engineers and ensure safety and schedule adherence.
• Communicate submittal processes and coordinate with teams.
