Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Engineer I for the Energy Storage group in the United States. You will review, analyze, and resolve field coordination issues while supporting a dynamic project team with high standards of professionalism.

Expect broad exposure to plans, permits, RFIs, and project closeout tasks. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in construction-related fields and at least two years of construction experience, with travel up to 100% required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of two years related construction experience.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons.
• Implement the pre-construction quality plan and manage permits and expenses.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and closeout procedures.
• Mentor field engineers and coordinate safety and compliance for the team.
• Travel up to 100% as required to support projects.
