Job summary

Great Basin Industrial seeks a Traveling Electrical Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical construction projects nationwide. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, traveling extensively to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget project delivery.

You will manage schedules, review contracts, and coordinate with estimators and preconstruction teams while upholding NEC and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of electrical construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical construction.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Working knowledge of the NEC, OSHA regulations, and construction safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight and extended stays at project locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple electrical construction projects from project award through completion.
• Travel to project sites as needed to oversee project execution, conduct meetings, and support field operations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate project turnover with estimating and preconstruction teams.
• Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services while maintaining budget and schedule objectives.
• Collaborate with field supervisors, foremen, superintendents, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor labor productivity, project costs, and overall profitability.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Conduct regular project meetings with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all applicable electrical codes.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize impacts.
• Review project billings, approve invoices, and support monthly financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project closeout activities including punch lists, as-built documentation, warranties, and final turnover.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while representing the company professionally on job sites.
