Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an Electrical Superintendent to oversee all electrical work on construction sites from inception to completion. Strong leadership, deep electrical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are required to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, mentor electricians, and enforce strict safety practices while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years with a general contractor or 10 years as a trade foreman.
• Deep knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong leadership and team management能力.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical installations and maintenance on construction sites.
• Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other construction professionals.
• Supervise and mentor electrical foremen, journeymen and apprentices.
• Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals and updates.
• Ensure all electrical work meets safety standards and client specs.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks.
• Enforce safety protocols and train team members on hazards and safe practices.
• Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Maintain records of electrical work, including blueprints and change orders.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports to project managers and clients.
• Liaise with other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Resolve issues or conflicts during construction.
