Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to oversee all electrical installations on construction sites, leading a team of foremen, journeymen, and apprentices. The role requires deep electrical knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, coordinating with engineers and other trades, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a general contractor or 10 years as a trade foreman.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all electrical installations and maintenance activities on construction sites.
• Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to electrical foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
• Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on project goals and updates.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including blueprints, progress reports, and change orders.
