Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join the W.E.S.T. Float Pool. You will travel between WellStar facilities delivering urgent, patient-centered emergency care and supporting ED operations across the network.

The role requires 2+ years of ED experience, active GA RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certs, with TNCC/ATCN preferred. You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality care and strict documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of direct ED RN experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC/ATCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care—assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to critical situations and codes.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in compliance with WellStar standards.
