Job summary

Required is 2+ years ED experience with an active GA/Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and a BSN preference. The role emphasizes teamwork, rapid decision-making and accurate documentation across a large health system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of direct ED RN experience.
• Active RN license GA or Compact.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required; TNCC preferred.
• BSN preferred; evidenced nursing program graduate.
• Ability to work across multiple Wellstar facilities with travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care—assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond swiftly to critical situations and codes.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in compliance with WellStar standards.
