Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee medium to large projects, ensuring safety, quality and financial performance. The role covers staffing, materials, and customer delivery objectives across on-site operations.

The position offers a $7,000 sign-on bonus paid in installments and requires travel within branch/regional territories. Overtime is available, with focus on project management and client coordination on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Lead Communications Technician or similar position.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with a computer and MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Must meet Company driving standards.
• Ability to define a project scope, estimate, tasks and manage to completion.
• Able to use trade tools listed in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage and supervise project staff.
• Act as senior liaison with customer representatives.
• Manage project profitability and deadlines to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee staffing levels, workload, and progress of installations.
• Review job costs, invoices, collections and reporting.
• Complete project paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain safety and quality on site through proactive checks.
• Lead on-site meetings and training sessions.
