Equiliem Traveling Data Center Structured Cabling Superintendent position in Meridian, MS. You will oversee field operations on large-scale commercial projects, leading Project Leads and Foremen, coordinating materials, and ensuring milestones, safety, and schedules. Extended travel is required during initial training.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and problem-solving, with a 10-hour shift pattern Monday–Friday and occasional sixth days as needed; based near Meridian, MS.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising large-scale commercial new construction projects.
• Hyperscale or similarly complex large projects preferred.
• Superintendent/General Superintendent experience with foremen and field crews.
• Strong field production management, scheduling, labor forecasting, and resource management.
• Experience creating and managing material lists and coordinating project materials.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets for scheduling and safety tracking.
• Experience using Bluebeam or similar construction software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Project Leads, Foremen, and field teams to achieve project milestones and production goals.
• Monitor field production and identify, manage, and report constraints affecting project completion.
• Assist with the creation, coordination, and management of project material lists.
• Coordinate labor resources and support labor forecasting and workforce planning.
• Maintain and update project schedules, production reports, and other project-related spreadsheets.
• Monitor compliance with project safety requirements and established procedures.
• Communicate project progress, risks, constraints, and resource needs to project leadership.
• Coordinate field activities to support timely completion of large-scale construction projects.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and project stakeholders.
• Utilize project management and construction software, including Bluebeam, to support documentation and project execution.
• Travel to project sites as required for training and project support.

Traveling Data Center Structured Cabling Superintendent

Location: Meridian, MS

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, typically 7:00 AM start; 10-hour shifts; occasional 6th day as needed

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour for Superintendent; $45.00-$50.00 per hour for General Superintendent

Job Summary

The Traveling Superintendent / General Superintendent oversees field operations for large-scale commercial new construction projects, ensuring teams meet production milestones, safety requirements, labor goals, and project schedules. This position provides leadership to Project Leads and Foremen while coordinating materials, resolving project constraints, and monitoring overall field performance. General Superintendent-level responsibilities also include increased customer interaction, labor forecasting, schedule management, safety compliance, and project reporting. Candidates must be based in or near Meridian, MS and be available for extended travel assignments during the initial training period.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience supervising large-scale commercial new construction projects is required.


• Previous hyperscale or similarly complex large-project experience is highly preferred.


• Superintendent or General Superintendent experience managing Foremen, Project Leads, and field construction teams is preferred.


• Strong experience with field production management, project scheduling, labor forecasting, and resource management.


• Experience creating and managing material lists and coordinating project materials.


• Strong proficiency with spreadsheets used for scheduling, labor management, forecasting, and safety tracking.


• Experience using Bluebeam or similar construction project management software.


• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, project leadership, and field personnel.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain project schedules in a fast-paced construction environment.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)

• Candidates should be local to Meridian, MS or within approximately a 6-8 hour driving distance.


• Initial assignments may require travel to other project sites for training until approximately January or February.


• Must be available for extended travel periods of approximately 4-6 weeks.


• Standard schedule consists of 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with occasional 6th-day work based on project requirements.


• This opportunity is structured as contract-to-hire following approximately 640 hours.
