Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Construction Site Safety Manager to lead and maintain comprehensive safety programs for a large-scale data center construction environment. You will oversee regulatory compliance, hazard identification, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness, partnering with field teams and stakeholders to promote safe work practices.

The role requires extensive experience in construction safety, strong knowledge of standards, and the ability to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of construction safety experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of safety experience within a data center construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, ANSI standards, and construction safety practices.
• Hands-on experience conducting JHAs, PTPs, safety audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up.
• Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Experience developing and implementing emergency response and emergency action plans.
• Experience delivering safety orientations, toolbox talks, and workforce safety training.
• Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor safety performance and compliance.
• Strong safety documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, project leadership, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders.
• Experience using safety management systems, safety metrics, and KPIs to support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI, and applicable site-specific safety standards.
• Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning (PTP) reviews, site inspections, and safety audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to address unsafe conditions, behaviors, and identified risks.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analyses, document findings, and implement preventive measures.
• Develop, maintain, and execute emergency action plans in coordination with site leadership and local emergency responders.
• Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and evaluate response effectiveness.
• Deliver employee and contractor safety orientations, toolbox talks, and other safety training programs.
• Evaluate subcontractor safety qualifications and monitor ongoing compliance with site safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate safety records, including audit logs, training documentation, incident reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
• Communicate safety expectations, findings, and performance trends to field personnel, project leadership, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Track safety metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Use safety management systems and reporting platforms to support compliance, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Construction Site Safety Manager

Location: West Memphis, AR
Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM; Saturdays as needed
Pay: Approximately $64.90 per hour equivalent, based on a $135,000 annual salary, plus a 10% annual bonus

Job Summary

The Construction Site Safety Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining comprehensive safety programs for a large-scale data center construction environment. This role oversees regulatory compliance, hazard identification and mitigation, incident investigations, emergency preparedness, workforce training, subcontractor safety, and safety documentation. The Safety Manager partners with field teams, project leadership, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards. The position also uses safety metrics, audits, and management systems to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

• Direct-hire position.
• Regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Saturday availability is required as needed based on project demands.
• No routine travel is required.
• Candidates requiring relocation may be considered.
