Equiliem is seeking a Traveling Data Center Project Lead in Meridian, MS to guide multiple technician teams on large-scale commercial and data center construction projects.

You will provide daily field leadership, coordinate activities, and ensure work meets schedules and quality standards. Extended travel during training and transition is required. This contract-to-hire role favors candidates with hyperscale data center experience and willingness to travel for 4–6 weeks at a time.

Traveling Data Center Project Lead

Location: Meridian, MS Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, typically starting at 7:00 AM; 10-hour shifts; sixth day as needed Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Traveling Data Center Project Lead is responsible for leading multiple teams of technicians supporting large-scale commercial and data center construction projects. This position provides daily field leadership, coordinates project activities, and helps ensure work is completed according to project requirements, schedules, and quality expectations. The role requires previous experience supervising multiple technician teams, with hyperscale data center experience highly preferred. Candidates must be available for extended travel assignments during the initial training and project transition period.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and provide daily direction to two or more teams of field technicians.
• Coordinate technician activities to support project schedules and construction milestones.
• Monitor field progress, productivity, and work quality across assigned teams.
• Communicate project priorities, assignments, and expectations to technicians.
• Coordinate with project leadership regarding staffing, scheduling, progress, and field needs.
• Support the execution of large-scale commercial and data center new construction projects.
• Identify field issues and communicate concerns that may affect project schedules or deliverables.
• Maintain organized and professional communication among project teams.
• Support compliance with applicable project procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience managing two or more teams of technicians is required.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale commercial new construction projects is required.
• Previous hyperscale data center construction experience is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field teams and coordinate multiple work activities simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, supervisors, and project leadership.
• Ability to work approximately 10-hour shifts beginning around 7:00 AM.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday with a sixth workday as needed based on project requirements.
• Ability and willingness to travel for extended assignments lasting approximately 4-6 weeks at a time.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)

• Candidates must be based in or able to reliably commute to the Meridian, MS area when assigned to the local project site.
• Extended travel to other project locations is required during the initial training and transition period.
• This position is expected to transition to the Meridian project following completion of the initial travel and training period.
• Position is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity.
