Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers is seeking a Cooling Tower Tech to assist in construction, erection, installation, fabrication and repairs of cooling towers across projects. You will work with supervision to complete tasks safely, efficiently and to OBR quality standards.

This role may require extensive travel depending on project location and duration, with duties ranging from equipment installation to layout and assembly in industrial settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid drivers license with reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 or safety training/experience preferred.
• Experience in an industrial workplace is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform duties and follow safe work procedures on job-sites.
• Assist with installation of mechanical equipment including motors, fans, gear boxes and drive shafts.
• Read blueprints or building plans and liaise with Foreman for directions.
• Assist with selecting lumber and materials for the job.
• Prepare layouts using rulers, tapes, and framing squares.
• Assist with marking cuts and assembly lines on materials.
• Assist with shaping materials to prescribed measurements.
• Assist with piping and nozzle installation and erection of framework.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervision and management.
