Job summary

ARCO National Construction is seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead commercial and industrial design-build projects across the United States. You will oversee field operations, manage subcontractors, and partner with the project manager to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 5–25 years as a Lead Superintendent, willingness to travel nationwide, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Excel. Strong leadership and safety enforcement are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-25 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent
• Willing to travel throughout the United States
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Excel)
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing/walking for long periods, occasional uneven terrain)

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and jobsite execution throughout all phases of commercial and industrial construction projects
• Demonstrate leadership to direct teams and resolve conflicts
• Attend post-award reviews to gather project details and begin preconstruction planning
• Develop construction schedules with the project manager, including activity sequencing and manpower needs
• Oversee project to ensure work meets specifications, stays on schedule, and achieves target profitability
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to maintain project timelines
• Prepare job progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs
• Review and approve requisitions, field POs, invoices, and key project documents
• Maintain communication with the project manager regarding progress, plans, and issues
