Job summary

ARCO National Construction Company seeks a Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead commercial and industrial design-build projects across the United States. You will manage field operations, lead subcontractors, and partner with the project manager to deliver on schedule and budget.

This role requires 5–25 years of experience, travel readiness, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Excel. A valid driver’s license and ability to meet physical demands are required.

Qualifications

• 5–25 years of construction experience as a Lead Superintendent.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States.
• Proficiency with construction management and project software, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and jobsite execution throughout all phases of commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Demonstrate leadership, direct teams, and resolve conflicts.
• Attend post-award review meetings to gather project details and start preconstruction planning.
• Develop construction schedules with the project manager, including sequencing and resource needs.
• Oversee work to meet specs, stay on schedule, and hit profitability targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors to meet the project timeline.
• Assist in preparing progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
• Review requisitions, field PO's, invoices, and key project documents.
• Maintain communication with the project manager about progress, plans, and issues.
• Complete daily reports with key project details and client interactions.
• Enforce adherence to the safety program in all project phases.
• Lead with integrity and a commitment to quality, upholding company values.
